This cosplay of Sabrina from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was such a great way to spend the afternoon!
This wedding dress from the photography wardrobe was perfect for a Dark Baptism and was a great fit for a Sabrina Spellman cosplay
This shoot was also the perfect time to shoot with the old Nikon DSLR and test out the studio’s new SD card reader, which transfers raw images from the DSLR right into my phone for editing!
What photo shoots have you been dying to do lately? Any cosplays in the works?
This gorgeous headdress features bronze antlers and cream and white floral accents.
This beauty just landed in the Blessed Shadows Etsy shop and is perfect for any boudoir shoot, cosplay, wedding and more.
What’s your favorite accessory for photoshoots?
Makeup is a very important part of portrait photography, especially boudoir and glamour photography.
Not that a model must have a full face of makeup on, but that the makeup can make or break a shoot, as well as have shooting concerns.
This eye makeup is very bold, and needed a light, bright set. When shot against darker backdrops, the makeup looked much more harsh, as did the photos themselves.
Harsher makeup can still be beautiful, it just may not fit the theme of the photoshoot.
Darker makeup needs a brighter light/set to cut harshness.
An overdrawn lip may look disproportionate at certain angles and perfect at others.
False lashes may only show up in certain angles.
As we do our makeup or provide direction for the makeup artist, we must keep in mind the set, the theme, the mood, and the angles.
Take thin Horns, add some sturdiness, and attach to a headband in this tutorial for a devilishly good costume. 😈
Tools and supplies:
-Extra, used shopping bags
-Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks *be careful not to melt the E6000.

This pink ombre wig is forever one of my favorites! Ombre tone hair can add body and a little magic to any look, and these wigs don’t have to be expensive!
All the wigs for my photoshoots are cosplay wigs usually around $19-30 each, including lace-front wigs. A little experimenting will help you find your favorite style and colors, and help make a photoshoot pop, even with little wardrobe.
What’s your favorite wig style and brand for your fantasy photoshoots?
Headdresses and couture like these red floral horns and this lace couture top are available in the Blessed Shadows shop!
What’s your favorite way to source backdrops for your fantasy photography? This one is a ‘sigil’ floor mat that’s been framed by thrifted lace throws and scarves… not mention lighted by a few standard floor lamps from a department store.
It really can be that simple to create a thrifty, simple photoshoot that looks gorgeous!
