This fantasy photoshoot featured some amazing biodegradable cosmetic glitter from Slayfire Cosmetics!

Time and time again, it’s a perfect addition over a wash of color, especially for dark, magical looks.

I’ve a few different colors from this company that I’ve collected in the makeup studio over the years!

What’s your favorite independent makeup brand? What are your favorites glitters, and are they biodegradable?

We must always be moving forward: in our art, our technique, our beliefs, our morals, and more.

Now it’s even easier to see who we have in our circles, which companies support their employees and human rights (both publicly and privately), and more and more lists are emerging for us to find black and POC artists, businesses, writers, etc to support.

It is always our responsibility as a generation to do better and create a better world than what has come before.

As we continue forward and create positive change to bring human rights to all, I invite you to ask yourselves with me: How can we better use our art and our voice to create and inspire positive change? How can we create beauty that inspires change? How can we channel our pain into work that will continue to build community? How can we better support inclusion?

Ideas include:

  • Build up and support the community
  • Buy from/feature/like/comment/share work from Black/POC/Queer artists/businesses
  • Find and support companies that publicly and privately support the community and are inclusive
  • Donate/promote/etc fundraisers, charities, funds, etc. that support, protect and build community.

What are your thoughts?

How are you already or planning to build and support the community and inclusiveness, and use your voice and art to promote humanity? How do you weave important messages into your message? How do you be completely open and authentic in your artwork?
